Damascus Projects Global is a global business matchmaking technology service designed to facilitate LIVE connections between founders, investors, entrepreneurs, producers, companies, organisations and other users seeking legitimate business relationships.

Our services may enable users to:

• create business or professional profiles;
• display businesses, products, services, projects or business ideas;
• upload business-related videos and prototypes;
• participate in live video streams;
• request or accept invitations to live streams;
• communicate directly with other users;
• participate in private virtual meetings;
• use chat and communication features;
• discover businesses and business opportunities presented by other users;
• participate in special programmes, challenges, festivals, networking activities and other events introduced through Damascus Projects Global.

The specific features available to you may depend on your account type, subscription, location, eligibility and the services available at the relevant time.

2 Our Role

Damascus Projects Global provides technology and communication services intended to facilitate introductions and business interactions between users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Damascus Projects Global:

• does not act as an investor;
• does not act as a financial adviser;
• does not act as a broker, investment manager, fund manager or financial intermediary;
• does not guarantee that a user will obtain investment, funding, customers, contracts, partnerships or other commercial opportunities;
• does not negotiate transactions on behalf of users;
• does not make investment decisions for users;
• does not hold, receive, transfer or manage investment funds on behalf of users;
• does not guarantee the financial performance, profitability or success of any business displayed through our services;
• does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of information supplied by another user; and
• is not a party to any transaction, investment, partnership, contract or commercial arrangement entered into directly between users unless Damascus Projects Global expressly states otherwise.

Our role is to provide technology that enables users to discover, communicate with and potentially establish relationships with other users.

3 Important Notice About Investment and Business Opportunities

Information presented by users through Damascus Projects Global may relate to businesses, companies, projects, products, services, funding requirements, investment interests or other commercial matters.

Such information is provided by the relevant user and should not automatically be treated as verified, endorsed or approved by Damascus Projects Global.

• properly authorised;
• not fraudulent;
• not defamatory;
• not infringing another person's intellectual property rights;
• not unlawfully discriminatory; and
• appropriate for publication through the service.

A founder must not falsely represent:

• ownership of a business;
• financial performance;
• business registration;
• qualifications;
• partnerships;
• customers;
• contracts;
• investment received;
• assets;
• products or services;
• regulatory approvals; or
• any other material business information.

7 Investor and Business Discovery Accounts

Users seeking businesses, entrepreneurs, producers, projects or commercial relationships are responsible for independently assessing information presented by other users.

A user should not assume that the appearance of a business, person, project or proposal on Damascus Projects Global means that Damascus Projects Global has endorsed, guaranteed or recommended it.

Users are responsible for deciding whether to communicate with another user and whether to enter into any subsequent relationship.

8 User-Generated Content

Users may upload, publish, transmit or display content through Damascus Projects Global.

This may include:

• photographs;
• videos;
• business descriptions;
• presentations;
• prototypes;
• logos;
• documents;
• profile information;
• comments;
• messages;
• live-stream content;
• audio;
• advertisements; and
• other materials.

The user who submits content remains responsible for that content.

You must have the necessary rights, permissions and authority to upload or publish content.

9 Content Licence

By uploading or submitting content to Damascus Projects Global, you grant Damascus Projects Global a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, technically modify, format and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain and improve the service.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Damascus Projects Global.

You continue to own your content, subject to the rights of others who may have legitimate rights in that content.

You should not upload confidential information or commercially sensitive information unless you are satisfied that doing so is appropriate.

10 Live Streaming

Damascus Projects Global may provide live-streaming features through which users can present themselves, their businesses, products, services, projects or ideas.

Live-streaming users are responsible for everything they say, display or transmit during a live session.

Users must not use live streams to:

• deceive other users;
• impersonate another person;
• make fraudulent representations;
• publish unlawful content;
• harass or threaten another person;
• distribute malicious software;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• disclose another person's private information without lawful authority; or
• conduct activities prohibited by these Terms.

Damascus Projects Global may moderate, restrict, interrupt or terminate a live stream where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms or protect the integrity of the service.

11 Global Live Challenge

Damascus Projects Global may provide a Global Live Challenge feature or programme.

The Global Live Challenge may allow users to participate in structured live presentations, business challenges, competitions, demonstrations or networking activities.

Specific rules may apply to individual challenges.

Where additional rules are published for a particular challenge, those rules form part of the terms applicable to that challenge.

Participation does not guarantee investment, funding, customers, contracts, partnerships, publicity or any other commercial result.

Damascus Projects Global may modify, postpone, suspend or discontinue a challenge where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and any specific terms published for that challenge.

12 Producers Festival

Damascus Projects Global may provide a Producers Festival feature or programme designed to enable producers, manufacturers, businesses and other participants to showcase products, services, production capabilities or commercial ideas.

Participation requirements may vary depending on the particular festival or event.

Participants remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything they present.

Participation in the Producers Festival does not constitute an endorsement, certification, investment commitment or guarantee of commercial success by Damascus Projects Global.

Specific festival rules may apply and will be communicated to participants where applicable.

13 Private Video Meetings

Damascus Projects Global may allow users to arrange or participate in private virtual meetings.

Users are responsible for their conduct during private meetings.

Damascus Projects Global does not guarantee that another participant will:

• attend a meeting;
• provide accurate information;
• pursue a business relationship;
• invest;
• enter into a contract; or
• honour any representation made during a meeting.

Users should exercise appropriate caution when communicating privately with people they have met through the service.

14 User-to-User Transactions

Damascus Projects Global may introduce users to one another, but users are responsible for any subsequent dealings between them.

Any agreement entered into between users is between those users unless Damascus Projects Global expressly becomes a party to that agreement.

15 No Guarantee of Connections or Results

However, we do not guarantee:

• a minimum number of connections;
• a minimum number of live streams;
• acceptance into a live stream;
• responses from other users;
• investment;
• funding;
• sales;
• contracts;
• partnerships;
• customers;
• business growth;
• profitability;
• commercial success; or
• any particular outcome from using the service.

The availability and quality of connections may depend on user activity, location, demand, technology and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

16 User Verification

Damascus Projects Global may introduce identity, business or account verification procedures.

Verification may involve information or documentation reasonably required to establish identity, business existence, ownership or other relevant information.

Verification does not constitute a guarantee or certification of a user's financial position, business performance, character, solvency or suitability.

A verified status means only that the relevant verification process has been completed according to the criteria applicable at that time.

We may remove or suspend verification where information is found to be inaccurate, misleading, outdated or fraudulent.

17 Prohibited Conduct

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that restriction, Damascus Projects Global will not be responsible for losses arising solely from:

• transactions between users;
• representations made by users;
• business performance of another user;
• investment decisions made independently by users;
