1 Purpose
These Business Listing Rules establish the standards and requirements for businesses, entrepreneurs, organisations, producers, founders, and other users who create or maintain business listings through Damascus Projects Global.
Business listings are intended to help users present legitimate businesses, products, services, projects, ideas, and commercial activities to potential business connections.
These Rules are designed to promote accurate information, professional presentation, transparency, user safety, and meaningful business connections.
By creating, submitting, maintaining, or interacting with a business listing, you agree to comply with these Rules, the Damascus Projects Global Terms of Use, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies.
2 Our Role
Damascus Projects Global is a global business matchmaking technology designed to facilitate introductions and communication between users.
A business listing does not constitute an endorsement, certification, verification, recommendation, investment offer, solicitation, or guarantee by Damascus Projects Global.
Damascus Projects Global does not:
- guarantee that a listed business is successful;
- guarantee the accuracy of every statement made by a listing owner;
- guarantee funding, investment, customers, contracts, partnerships, sales, employment, or other commercial results;
- act as an investor in a listed business;
- act as a financial adviser, investment manager, broker, fund manager, or financial intermediary;
- receive, hold, transfer, or facilitate investment funds between users; or
- become a party to transactions or agreements between users merely because a business is listed.
Users are responsible for conducting their own independent due diligence before relying upon information contained in any business listing or communicating with its owner.
3 Who May Create a Business Listing
A business listing may be created by an individual or organisation that has the lawful authority to represent the business, project, product, service, or commercial activity being presented.
Depending on the nature of the listing, the person creating it may be:
- founder (a business owner);
- authorised representative;
- director or officer;
- entrepreneur;
- producer;
- authorised employee;
- project owner; or
- another person with legitimate authority to make the listing.
You must not create a listing for another person or organisation without appropriate authority.
4 Business Identity and Ownership
Every listing must accurately identify the business, project, organisation, or commercial activity being presented.
Where applicable, users should provide:
- legal or trading name;
- business registration information;
- business category;
- country or region of operation;
- principal business location;
- website;
- business contact information;
- ownership or representative information; and
- other information reasonably necessary to identify the business.
You must not:
- impersonate another business;
- use another company's name deceptively;
- falsely claim ownership of a business;
- falsely claim to be an authorised representative;
- create a listing designed to confuse users about the identity of another business; or
- deliberately conceal material information about who operates the business.
Damascus Projects Global may request additional information where reasonably necessary to establish the identity or authority of a listing owner.
5 Accuracy of Business Information
All information submitted in a listing must be truthful, accurate, current, and presented in a manner that does not materially mislead users.
This includes:
- business descriptions;
- products and services;
- business location;
- operating status;
- years of operation;
- ownership information;
- qualifications;
- licences and certifications;
- partnerships;
- customer or client claims;
- revenue claims;
- financial information;
- market information;
- testimonials;
- awards;
- achievements;
- projections; and
- other material business representations.
You must update or correct information when it becomes materially inaccurate.
A business listing must not be used to create a false impression about the size, reputation, experience, financial condition, ownership, or commercial status of a business.
6 Business Description
Business descriptions should clearly explain what the business does and what it offers.
Descriptions should be:
- relevant;
- understandable;
- professionally presented;
- factually supportable; and
- appropriate for a global business audience.
Avoid exaggerated or absolute claims that cannot reasonably be supported.
For example, statements such as:
- "the world's guaranteed best business";
- "guaranteed profits";
- "risk-free investment"; or
- "guaranteed funding"
should not be used where they create a misleading impression.
7 Products and Services
Products and services must be accurately described.
Where relevant, users should clearly identify:
- what is being offered;
- who the product or service is intended for;
- the geographic area in which it is available;
- significant limitations or conditions;
- applicable pricing information; and
- any material requirements for customers or business partners.
Users must not advertise products or services that they do not lawfully provide or have authority to provide.
8 Financial and Business Claims
Because business listings may be viewed by investors, entrepreneurs, companies, producers, and other commercial users, financial and commercial claims must be presented responsibly.
If a listing contains information concerning:
- revenue;
- profit;
- valuation;
- market size;
- investment requirements;
- projected returns;
- growth rates;
- customer numbers;
- financial forecasts;
- funding history; or
- other financial information,
the information must be presented honestly and must not deliberately misrepresent the underlying facts.
Projections and forecasts must be clearly distinguishable from historical or confirmed results.
Users must not present an estimated future outcome as an established fact.
A listing must not falsely imply that Damascus Projects Global has reviewed, approved, guaranteed, or endorsed any financial claim.
9 Investment-Related Information
Businesses may describe their business activities and, where permitted by applicable law and the service's rules, communicate with potential business contacts about commercial opportunities.
However, users must not use Damascus Projects Global to engage in fraudulent investment activity, deceptive financial promotion, or unlawful solicitation.
A listing must not falsely state or imply that:
- Damascus Projects Global guarantees an investment;
- Damascus Projects Global recommends the business as an investment;
- Damascus Projects Global has approved the business;
- Damascus Projects Global guarantees returns;
- Damascus Projects Global will protect a user's investment; or
- Damascus Projects Global is acting as a financial intermediary for the business.
Users remain solely responsible for ensuring that their activities comply with the laws and regulations applicable to them.
10 Location and Operating Information
Businesses should accurately state where they operate.
A business must not falsely claim to operate in a country, city, market, or jurisdiction where it has no legitimate business presence or activity.
If a business operates remotely or internationally, the listing should communicate this accurately.
Where a physical address is displayed, users should have the lawful right to represent that address as a business location.
11 Photos, Videos and Business Media
Images, videos, prototypes, presentations, demonstrations, logos, documents, and other media uploaded to a business listing must:
- relate to the listed business;
- be reasonably accurate;
- comply with applicable law;
- respect intellectual property rights;
- respect privacy rights; and
- comply with the Video Content Rules and Community Guidelines.
Users must not upload media that falsely represents another business, product, facility, person, customer, achievement, or business result.
Digitally altered or AI-generated media must not be presented in a manner that deliberately creates a materially false impression.
12 Video Prototypes
Where Damascus Projects Global provides video prototype functionality, users may use it to explain or demonstrate their businesses, products, services, projects, processes, or ideas.
Video prototypes must accurately represent what is being presented.
Users should clearly distinguish:
- an existing product from a concept;
- a prototype from a commercially available product;
- a projection from an actual result; and
- a demonstration from an independently verified performance claim.
Users must not use video prototypes to fabricate evidence of customers, sales, facilities, products, partnerships, approvals, certifications, or commercial success.
13 Intellectual Property
You must only upload or publish material that you have the legal right to use.
This includes:
- photographs;
- videos;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- music;
- graphics;
- written material;
- product designs;
- presentations;
- software;
- documents; and
- other protected content.
You must not upload another person's copyrighted, trademarked, confidential, or proprietary material without appropriate permission or legal authority.
Damascus Projects Global may remove material where it receives a credible intellectual property complaint or otherwise determines that removal is appropriate.
14 Confidential Information
Users should carefully consider whether information is suitable for public listing.
Do not publish confidential or commercially sensitive information unless you have the authority to disclose it and understand the consequences of doing so.
This may include:
- trade secrets;
- private customer information;
- passwords;
- access credentials;
- confidential contracts;
- non-public financial information;
- private personal information;
- proprietary technical information; or
- confidential information belonging to another person or organisation.
Damascus Projects Global does not guarantee that information voluntarily published in a business listing will remain confidential.
15 Regulated Businesses and Professional Services
Businesses operating in regulated industries are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licences, registrations, permits, approvals, qualifications, and authorisations required by applicable law.
Where appropriate, listings should accurately identify relevant regulatory status.
Damascus Projects Global does not provide regulatory approval merely because a business is permitted to create a listing.
A business must not falsely claim to possess:
- a professional licence;
- government approval;
- regulatory authorisation;
- certification;
- accreditation;
- registration;
- professional qualification; or
- other official status.
16 Prohibited Business Listings
Damascus Projects Global may reject, restrict, remove, or suspend listings involving activities that are unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or incompatible with the service.
Prohibited or restricted listings may include businesses or activities involving:
- fraud or scams;
- impersonation;
- counterfeit goods;
- unlawful goods or services;
- illegal financial schemes;
- deceptive investment opportunities;
- unlawful financial solicitation;
- trafficking or exploitation;
- child exploitation;
- non-consensual sexual content;
- prohibited weapons or unlawful weapon-related activity;
- controlled or illegal substances;
- malware or malicious cyber activity;
- stolen property;
- money laundering or other financial crime;
- deceptive pyramid or Ponzi-style schemes;
- fake employment or recruitment schemes;
- activities designed primarily to obtain money through deception; or
- other activities that violate applicable law or Damascus Projects Global policies.
This list is not exhaustive.
Damascus Projects Global may restrict additional categories where necessary to protect users, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of the service.
17 Duplicate Listings
Users should not create multiple substantially identical listings for the same business for the purpose of gaining additional visibility, manipulating search results, misleading users, or circumventing moderation.
Where a business legitimately operates multiple brands, locations, divisions, or business units, separate listings may be permitted where they provide genuinely distinct information.
Damascus Projects Global may consolidate or remove duplicate listings.
18 Search Manipulation and Keyword Abuse
Business listings must not contain excessive or irrelevant keywords designed primarily to manipulate search results.
Users must not:
- repeatedly insert unrelated company names;
- use misleading keywords;
- falsely claim association with well-known businesses;
- create hidden text intended to manipulate discovery; or
- deliberately miscategorise a business to attract unrelated users.
19 External Links and Contact Information
External websites, social media accounts, email addresses, telephone numbers, and other contact information may only be included where permitted by Damascus Projects Global.
Links and contact details must relate to the listed business.
Users must not use listings to redirect users to:
- phishing websites;
- fraudulent payment pages;
- malware;
- deceptive services;
- prohibited content; or
- unrelated businesses without appropriate disclosure.
20 Reviews, Testimonials and Social Proof
Testimonials and business reviews must not be fabricated.
Users must not:
- invent customer testimonials;
- impersonate customers;
- purchase or manufacture fake reviews;
- falsely claim endorsements;
- misrepresent customer numbers; or
- present personal opinions as independently verified customer evidence.
If a testimonial is used, the business must have appropriate permission to publish it.
21 Business Verification
Damascus Projects Global may offer verification or review processes for certain businesses or information.
Verification, where provided, does not constitute:
- an endorsement;
- an investment recommendation;
- a guarantee of business performance;
- confirmation that every business statement is true;
- a guarantee of regulatory compliance; or
- a guarantee of commercial success.
Verification may be limited to particular information or documents and may not cover every aspect of a business.
Users must not falsely claim that Damascus Projects Global has verified matters that it has not verified.
22 Listing Changes and Updates
Listing owners are responsible for keeping their information reasonably current.
Material changes should be updated promptly, including changes to:
- ownership;
- business status;
- products or services;
- location;
- contact information;
- regulatory status;
- business model; or
- other information that could materially affect how users understand the business.
Damascus Projects Global may request updates where information appears outdated or potentially misleading.
23 Damascus Projects Global's Right to Review Listings
Damascus Projects Global may review listings for compliance with these Rules and other applicable policies.
Review may be conducted through:
- automated systems;
- human moderation;
- user reports;
- verification requests;
- safety investigations; or
- other reasonable methods.
Review does not mean that every statement in a listing has been independently verified.
Damascus Projects Global may take action where a listing:
- violates these Rules;
- violates applicable law;
- creates a significant risk of harm or fraud;
- contains materially misleading information;
- infringes another person's rights;
- creates a security or safety concern; or
- otherwise threatens the integrity of the service.
24 Removal or Restriction of Listings
Damascus Projects Global may:
- request corrections;
- restrict visibility;
- temporarily disable a listing;
- remove individual content;
- remove an entire listing;
- suspend the account responsible for the listing; or
- terminate access to the service.
Where appropriate, Damascus Projects Global may provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
However, immediate action may be taken where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, comply with law, address serious violations, or protect the service.
25 Reporting a Business Listing
Users are encouraged to report listings that they reasonably believe:
- contain false or misleading information;
- impersonate another business;
- involve fraud;
- violate intellectual property rights;
- contain prohibited content;
- present a safety concern;
- violate these Rules; or
- violate applicable law.
Reports should contain sufficient information to allow Damascus Projects Global to understand the concern.
Submitting a report does not guarantee that the listing will be removed.
False, malicious, or abusive reporting may itself violate the Acceptable Use Policy.
26 Appeals
Where a listing has been restricted or removed, the affected user may be permitted to request a review.
An appeal should explain:
- the listing involved;
- the action being challenged;
- why the user believes the action was incorrect; and
- any relevant supporting information.
Damascus Projects Global may request additional information before reviewing an appeal.
The outcome of an appeal may depend on the circumstances, available evidence, applicable law, and relevant company policies.
27 User Responsibility and Due Diligence
Every user is responsible for making independent decisions about businesses they discover through Damascus Projects Global.
Before entering into any commercial relationship, users should consider conducting appropriate due diligence, which may include verifying:
- business registration;
- ownership;
- identity;
- licences;
- financial claims;
- references;
- products and services;
- contracts;
- payment details;
- regulatory status; and
- other information relevant to the proposed relationship.
Users should not rely solely on the existence of a Damascus Projects Global listing as evidence that a business is legitimate, financially sound, trustworthy, or suitable for a particular transaction.
28 No Endorsement or Guarantee
A business listing on Damascus Projects Global does not mean that Damascus Projects Global:
- endorses the business;
- recommends the business;
- guarantees the business;
- guarantees information supplied by the business;
- guarantees an investment or commercial opportunity;
- guarantees a transaction;
- guarantees funding;
- guarantees a return;
- guarantees business performance; or
- guarantees that the business will remain operational.
Users must make their own decisions and undertake appropriate due diligence.
